There's One in Every Family!

OK tell me if I am wrong, but doesn't every family have one? Yes, that is my Uncle Jim in the Liberace vest!
Yes, this is also Uncle Jim as we sat and ate at Nathan's in Brooklyn, NY last summer. Again, every family has one, right?
Another picture of Uncle Jim. He was elected president of the National Association of Fleet Tug Sailors (NAFTS). Yes, he is a retired sailor. Doesn't every family have one? I am talking about the one uncle in the family that we are proud to say is family? Besides me, he is the only other sane one in the family (sane is used VERY loosely here). Yes Jim, we are proud to call you family! We are proud that you are president of NAFTS! Just please don't do your Christmas shopping for us while you are still in Vegas (or while you are still drinking (?) for that matter)! Just kidding ya Jim! We love ya what ever you are wearing??? (Did Janet get her matching one too)

First Mass

I assisted in celebrating in my first Mass today. Nobody was injured in the event so I guess it was a success! Now if I could just get that darn microphone to work! It was funny because when I first started formation a friend that I worked with told me to be sure that he knew when my first Mass was because he wanted to be in the front row to heckle me. Marty was diagnosed with cancer about 2 years ago, and passed away 6 months after he found out. No one that was in attendance today but Pat, Noah and I knew about Marty and his story. We saved the whole front row for Marty. Marty my friend, you made it! You put the bug in my mike. It was so comforting to have you there with me today as I was nervous starting out. You comforted me, and got me through the Mass, even without a microphone. You were there for me buddy, and for that I thank you. Marty, you may be gone, but you will never be forgotten by me. Now, every time I go to put that mike on, I will say a prayer that you will be there for me my friend. I miss you buddy! God bless you!
